I’m Danielle Martins Thomé, a ceramic artist from Brazil, now living and creating in my studio in Mountshannon, Ireland.
Dama Terra, refers to the element earth/clay and the spirit of the earth —Pachamama, Mother Earth—, the ancient force that shelters and nurtures all beings.
My journey began in architecture, where I learned to observe structure, balance, and composition. Alongside my architecture path, I did Arts University, where I discovered my love for sculpture and clay. What began as a simple hobby, gradually grew into a true passion, and ever since, I dreamed of one day opening my own studio.
A few years later, life brought me to Ireland, and in 2024 that long-held dream finally became reality with the opening of Dama Terra Studio.
Clay is your guide. You’ll feel it respond under your hands, sense its texture and weight, and discover forms emerging almost as if by themselves.
Dama Terra Experiences are an opportunity to translate intuition into form, leaving you with pieces shaped by your hands and by the living spirit of the earth. And, in that process, I am only your guide.

Alongside creating the Dama Terra Experiences, I continue to develop my own work, exploring organic forms and textures. My background in architecture gives my pieces a sense of balance, composition, and flow, providing sculptural qualities to everyday objects, such as lamps, dishes, or vases.

I also facilitate collaborative projects, workshops, and school initiatives that invite people to engage with clay and nature.
For me, clay is a bridge between people, their creativity, and the earth that inspires every creation.
